Challenges of Auto-Driving
One of the challenges of auto-driving is avoiding collisions.
The vehicles on the road will have to observe each other’s speed, position, braking/acceleration, and many other elements. Collaborative autonomous driving tackles this challenge.
This technique gathers information broadcasted by other devices(in this case, cars) and uses that information in addition to what they already know to decide their action. The environment on the road is dynamic and it is hard to capture every single piece of information through one device. Having multiple device gathering information can lower the risk to overlook important information
